Scheduled for completion in the late fall of 2009 work on Owego's Riverwalk project is continuing. Several structures have been added: two concrete steps leading to the river and a concrete Overlook. Work on riverbank erosion control is presently in progress. All trees along the full length of the walk have been removed to facilitate this.
