Broome County 4H horse Drill Teams take 1 & 2 Place at the New York State Fair on Saturday August 29 in Syracuse. For the Hunt Seat Team this was their 6th title in as many years. This was the first year for the Western Team to compete. Both teams are coached by Pam Boyce. Members of the Hunt Seat Team performed to Songs by the Beatles while the Western Team performed to a melody of Country Songs. Member of the Hunt Seat Team are Kristina Boyce, Rachel Burchell, Shelby Dillenbeck, Cheyanna Frost, Morgan Hill, Shelby Lawton, Courtney Richards, Danielle Stanke and Melissa Stanke. Members of the Western Team are Hannah Bieber, Elaina Burchell, Hannah Burchell, Kara Powell, Jordyn Richards and Jordynn Rogers. Congratulations to both teams and Coach Boyce.

Okay for you saying they screwed up the colloseum ride.lets see you give it a ride when the crowd goes crazy and the horses are spooky..i was on the 2nd place Broome County Team. Dont expect us to be perfect were just Kids and were here to have FUN.!

we made our ride good where it counted because our competition score was 98 out of 100, even if anyone had brought a team up i highly doubt anyone would have been able to touch us

BY THE WAY, you little witch, it was 3 sets of judges. and nobody came to compete against us because everyone was too scared that they would get their pathetic little butts kicked. YES our colliseum run was very rough but it had been a very long day

Ok i was on that winning team and Madison county isint all that great... and if they think they are sooo good then why didnt they beat us the past couple years??? we are 6 TIME CHAMPIONS... so tht input isint needed... and the reason nobody was there

Nobody said it was easy and that you did not work hard. The suggestion that it was a "sweep" was a little much. Focus on your hard workand the statisfaction that brings as well as enjoying the experience.

I was on that winning team and it was not easy we worked hard to get there. It wasnt our fault that there wasnt other teams. We practiced from January on our own 2 feet and started riding in March. So those negative comments are just not very fair.

OK 3 teams. I heard that there used to be up to 8 different teams from as many counties participating in the past. I did not say it was easy and I know it was a lot of hard work for parents and kids but cmon calling it a sweep is just too much. JMHO

no there was not just the 2 teams from Broome. It was not easy but thanks for the negative input. It was a lot of hard work... The kids did awesome...

Actually there were just the two teams from Broome so I would not be calling it a "sweep." Kudos to the kids but easy on the dramatic flair
