Notice the last couple of day that ther has been a cormorant lurking about the Chenango River. Managed to get few pictures. They aren't the best as it is quite cautious, and prefers the deeper channels to fish. As you can see from the last pic, they swim almost completely under water, only the neck and part of the back above water. Because they swim completely submerged for substantial distances, they will perch on driftwood to air dry their wings as in the second shot.
