Church burns - Flag survives

I was taking photos and then noticed the flag. I wondered who had hung it as a sign. I was then told by Mr. Dewey one of our fireman that the wind was blowing in the direction away from the flag. So no it was not hung up after the fire it was there all along. I am AMAZED that the fire did so much damage to all around it but our flag.

I am shocked that this has occured.I also was baptised and raised in this church.Even though its many years and many miles away i have never forgotten my roots.God bless SCUMC
