On a recent visit to the Beaver Lake Nature Center in near by Onondaga County to view some fall foliage and get closer to nature I got more than I bargined for. The trails in the park are lined with carved pumpkins for day and evening walks, so as i was walking and admiring the craftsmanship of the cravers when I came upon a young deer enjoying the fruits of the carvers labor in a up close and personel way. The deer was taken in by the luck of his bounty and seemed unfazed by my camera clicking away. Trick or Treats came early for this young male.
