On October 1st the newest state park in NY opened to the public. Actually it is an old converted railway bridge from Poughkeepsie to Highland which, when it opened, was the longest in the world. It is around 220 feet high and 1.25 miles long giving the people access to some of the most beautiful scenery anywhere. The Hudson River at this point is some 6/10ths miles wide.
