Peregrine Falcon with prey

Peregrine Falcon Keeping Natures Balance

While walking on the riverwalk this afternoon after lunch the large flock of resident pigeons began flying wildly about. Didn't see anything at first, then a Falcon flew over head carrying his catch of the day, one of the pigeons. I was able to get one good in flight shot and several of it after, as it was feeding. Natures balance being kept.

Thanks for sharing the picture. I love watching the falcons when I visit Binghamton. I’ve read they can dive at nearly 200 mph. What an amazing bird!!!!!
