Candor's American Legion started the year out right. Jan 1 a pair of American Eagles were sighted perched in a tree along the creek behind the the Legion just outside the Village of Candor on Rt 96. Members of the American Legion are delighted that this pair of American Eagles has stayed and is seen daily perched in the trees or atop utility poles in the area.
I was thrilled that while photographing one of the eagles, the mate flew in from down-stream and settled in on the same branch as the first. Within a few minutes they both began screaming and making quite a bit of noise. It was very impressive to see and hear these symbols of the United States of America.
