The old skating rink at Grippen Park in Endicott is nearing completion of it's metamorphosis from ice to dirt as BMX racing is slated to begin on Friday the 23rd of April. Construction of the track is nearly complete and the facility was open to the public for riding and testing this past Friday evening. Riders and families from around central NY state came out to see / test the track and many also volunteered their time to help out with the finishing touches. Registration for racing starts at 6:00pm and runs through 7:30pm. Racing is scheduled to get underway at 8:00pm.
