On May 12, Mary Roma, director of Mother Teresa's Cupboard, presented St. Ambrose's pastor, Fr. Charles A. Currie, with a certificate showing that both Mother Teresa's Cupboard and Catholic Charities recognize "with gratitude" all he has done for them. Fr. Currie was instrumental in setting up the John Paul II Outreach Center in the former parish school. The Center includes Mother Teresa's Cupboard and also offers emergency services for the needy through Catholic Charities. It is supported by parishes in Western Broome County.
