While walking th riverbank this afternooon I spotted a young groundhog trapped in its hole due to the crushing of the entrance by DEC tractors that had been there mowing the grass. (badly needed)
Using my hands and a nearby stick I was able to loosen up the hole enough that, when I came back later it had been able to free itself.
