Went down to the river to shoot the many dragonflies congregating there. This is a selection of 3 of the 5 different species currently there. Watching them circle around and chase each other in territorial and mating displays is very entertaining. Their rapid flight and sharp maneuvers put our human combat pilots to shame. ;)

Nice Falconfest174. Dragon Flies are extremely important, they'll eat misquotes that are on the water. Some Fish will eat mosquitoes too.
