Looking South from IN the River

Where is the Water?

As these pictures show the Chenango River in Binghamton has gotten so low that one can stand in the riverbed and look down the channel and see nothing but drying weeds, muddy gravel bars, and stranded floodwrack from years past. It is so shallow that the Herons that used to fish on the East bank have gone to the West bank where conditions are only slightly better.

Hi Falconest174 yea it's been very dry, and you know what -the Gulf Oil spill has something to do with it, An eddie formed around May 15 when we had that month long dry spell. That has stopped thermo regulation of the gulf stream :/
