My family got Dewey as a puppy when I was in fourth grade, back in 1999. Because both of my parents are librarians, we chose "Dewey" after Melvil Dewey, the creator of the Dewey Decimal System. He also goes by "Mr. Fluffy" or "Mr. Stinky" depending on his bath cycle, and occasionally "Mountain Dew". Dewey spends most of his time trying to get on the couch, sniffing for trails in the back yard, and sleeping. He jumps onto the nearest window sill or tree at the word, "Squirrel!" Occasionally we catch him sleeping on his back, which is a very amusing sight. He loves affection, has a goofy and playful personality, and enjoys long walks with lots of new smells.
