AG James announces run for state governor
ALBANY, N.Y. (WBNG) -- New York State Attorney Letitia James announced Friday that she is running for governor.
In a Tweet, Attorney General James said:
I’m running for Governor of New York because I have the experience, vision, and courage to take on the powerful on behalf of all New Yorkers. Let’s do this, together.
James released a report about sexual accusations made against former Governor Andrew Cuomo earlier this year.
She is the first woman elected as the state’s attorney general and the first Black person to serve in the role.
