Homemade haunted barn serves up scares in McDonough, N.Y.
MCDONOUGH (WBNG) -- This homemade haunted house is sure to give you a scare!
Owner of Deja Moo LLC and creator of the haunted barn Jackie St. Germain said when she first saw the barn on her new property she knew it had to be used for a haunted house.
“We have a really nice size barn and a beautiful hay loft and it’s about 4,000 sq. feet,” Germain said. “When we moved her this summer I took a look at it and said okay this is a lot of room that is not being used so we thought to do a haunted barn.”
Germain said this haunt was built with materials from the property.
“Everything is built by hand, by scratch and a lot of the materials I found around the farm which was really cool because the property is more than 100 years old,” Germain said.
Germain said this barn continues to be a work in progress and she adds onto it every week to increase the scare factor.
The Haunted Barn: The Slaughterhouse will be open Oct. 29 & 30 from 7 to 10 p.m.
“A lot of people think of a home haunt and they think that it might be a little lame but we’ve had quite a few people say it’s one of the scariest haunted houses that they’ve been through,” Germain said.
The barn is located at 229 County Road 5 in Mc Donough.
There is a $10 entry fee for this scary good time.
