A ‘Spooktacular’ Saturday at the Roberson Museum and Science Center
BINGHAMTON (WBNG) -- The Roberson Museum and Science Center is hosting an event to get you in the Halloween spirit.
Families are invited to attend Roberson’s annual Family Halloween Spooktacular Saturday. Director of Education Christina Mack said this event is open to children of all ages and costumes are encouraged!
“It’s a very family-friendly event we highly suggest coming in your best costumes to trick or treat throughout the facility,” Mack said. “We’ve got trick or treat stations set up all throughout the building so while you’re touring the museum and checking out the exhibits you’re also collecting candy.
Mack said aside from candy there will be three different Halloween-themed stations going on.
“One station is our mad science lab with hands-on STEM activities, another is our witch-crafts which is Halloween themed paper arts and crafts, and finally is our spooky STEM challenges where children will be tasked with building, assessing, and remodeling different builds which will be given on the day of,” Mack said.
The Family Halloween Spooktacular will take place Oct. 30 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Planetarium shows will also be available for purchase at the admission desk.
“Over the summer we actually had our entire planetarium system upgraded in its hardware and software so it is going to be better than ever this year,” Mack said. “We will be offering those shows every hour starting at 11:30 a.m. throughout the duration of the event.”
Admission is $8 for adults; $6 for students, seniors, and military and free for children under 4 and members.
Masks are required.
