Fatal stabbing on Binghamton’s West Side

Binghamton (WBNG) - Binghamton Police responded to 110 Main St. Apt 4 for a report of a disturbance with shots fired at approximately 9:08 this morning.

When officers arrived they found a male victim identified as, David Royes, age 36, of Binghamton, within the apartment suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Later on, it was determined that no gunshots were fired.

Royes was transported by EMS to an area hospital where Royes passed away as a result of his injuries.

Binghamton Police Detectives were contacted and initiated a Homicide Investigation.

Binghamton Police have arrested Mitchell C. Lindow, age 29, of Binghamton, as a result of the homicide investigation that has been initiated.

Lindow has been charged with 1st-degree murder and will be arraigned in Binghamton City Court.
