TOWN OF DICKINSON (WBNG) - First responders were on the scene of a crash on Interstate 86 eastbound, or NY17 eastbound, between Johnson City and Binghamton, according to 511NY. 12 News has learned a Union-Endicott school bus was involved.

According to New York State Police, two students were on the bus at the time of the crash. One student originally reported neck pain, however, no students were taken to the hospital.

State police reported no injuries.

UE Superintendent Nicole Wolfe notified parents this afternoon, telling them the bus was hit by another vehicle as traffic slowed down due to another accident.

Wolfe stated the students, along with the driver and a monitor were on the bus at the time of the crash. Wolfe reported everyone to be safe.

According to an incident report, the crash was located between Exit 71 and Exit 72. Two of three lanes are closed in the area heading eastbound.

One viewer sent 12 News a video that showed the front of a car with front-end damage, while the bus appeared to have minimal damage. Another photo shows the bus’ front passenger side tire with a flat.
