Johnson City Police charge man with rape, incest

(WBNG) -- The Johnson City Police Department announced it charged an 18-year-old man with rape and incest on Dec. 21.

According to a news release from the Johnson City Police, Christian Rogler of the Town of Maine was charged with rape in the first degree; a class B felony, criminal sexual act in the first degree; a class B felony and incest in the first degree; a class B felony.

J.C. Police said it received a report on Dec. 19 of an adult man that engaged in unlawful physical contact with an underage girl. They said detectives were called to assist patrol officers with the investigation and it was determined that Rogler had sexual intercourse with a relative under the age of 11.

On Dec. 21, detectives found Rogler at his residence.

Police said Rogler was taken to central arraignment and remanded to the Broome County Jail.
