ALBANY, N.Y. (WBNG) - The Binghamton men’s basketball team made 12 three-pointers on the way to their first 2-0 start in the America East since 2011, taking down the Albany Great Danes 88-79 on the road Thursday night.

Jacob Falko scored a career-high 28 points, shooting 10-13 from the field, including 3-5 from three-point range, to lead the Bearcats in the win. Kellen Amos scored 17 points off the bench, and Christian Hinckson scored 12.

On the other side, Devondre Perry scored 26 for the Great Danes. Jamel Horton added 23 more, but the rest of the team struggled, shooting 48.3% from the field.

Binghamton improves to 5-6 on the season and 2-0 in conference play. They have a chance to make it three wins in a row on Saturday, January 8, as they take on the NJIT Highlanders at home. Tip-off from the Events Center is 4 p.m.
