Multiple Section IV high school football players named to All-New York State teams

(WBNG) - Across the three classes where a Section IV football team won a state championship, B, C, and D, plus the 8-man division, there were 19 players named to the New York State all-state teams. Including three who were named Player of the Year in their respective classes.

In Class B, Maine-Endwell senior Michael Mancini was named the Player of the Year. Named to the First Team were Maine-Endwell linemen senior Jake Romanosky, and sophomore Adam DeSantis.

In Class C, five Chenango Forks players were named to the First Team: seniors Dubbs Haqq, Matt Brewster, Zander Arnold, and Tyler Hayes, as well as junior Lucas Sickles.

In Class D, Tioga senior Emmett Wood was named Player of the Year. In addition to Wood, Tioga seniors Josh Snell and Gavin Godfrey, as well as sophomore Gavin Fisher. Harpursville/Afton also had a First Team rep with Luke Merrill.

In 8-man, Spencer-Van Etten/Candor senior Devin Beach was named Player of the Year. In addition, three other SVEC players were named to the First Team: seniors Nick Thomas, Hunter Haynes, and Elliot Walter. Two Groton players also made the First Team: senior Jeter Neff and junior Auston Hunt.
