Use an at-home COVID-19 test? Here’s how and where to report your positive results

(WBNG) - As COVID-19 cases continue to surge in New York State and across the U.S., Governor Kathy Hochul says the state will be changing its approach to contact tracing.

Hochul and New York’s Acting Department of Health Commissioner Dr. Mary Bassett announced that the state is stepping away from contact tracing, moving instead to self-management. Bassett said this change will allow state and local health department staff to focus their efforts on COVID testing and vaccinations.

Below is where you can find information on how to report your at home COVID positive tests

  • Broome County
    • Go to Health Dept. website -> click ‘Coronavirus’ -> click ‘Report a positive test’
  • Chenango County
    • Go to Health Dept. website -> click ‘COVID-19 at home/self-test info’ -> Download form
  • Tioga County
    • Go to Health Dept. website -> click ‘COVID-19 at home test’ -> Click report positive home test results
  • Delaware County
    • Go to Health Dept. website -> click ‘Report a positive home COVID-19 test’ -> Submit test results
