JOHNSON CITY (WBNG) -- The Liberty Partnership program is affiliated with Binghamton University and supports 360 students from Binghamton, Susquehanna Valley, Johnson City and Union-Endicott School Districts every year.

This program is designed to help shape students into young adults through academic, social, and emotional support and opportunities for career exploration whilst getting into college.

Full-time staff members are dedicated to identifying and supporting students which are placed in each school to fully integrate the program’s support services into the district.

Owner and CEO of Upstate Shredding Adam Weitsman visited Johnson City Middle School on Thursday morning to speak to the students in the Liberty Partnership program. Weitsman shared his experience of becoming successful and advice he’s learned along the way.

After Weitsman’s visit, he said he can see how this program is helping change the students’ lives.
