Sunday starts off dry with partly sunny skies in place. With dew points holding in the 60s, it will be muggy as well. In the afternoon, trough moves in from the west causing scattered showers and storms to develop. There is a marginal risk for a severe thunderstorm which may produce damaging wind gusts.
More severe weather is in the forecast for Monday. This time, a cold front will be the forcing mechanism as it pushes through in the afternoon. This produces the highest risk for severe weather we will see all week. Damaging winds and small hail are the main threat for any severe storms that develop. There is also a non-zero chance for a tornado.
The rest of the 7-Day forecast is relatively quiet with a more comfortable airmass for the mid-week days.
