JOHNSON CITY (WBNG) -- Seniors young and old from across our community came together this evening.

Seniors from Johnson City High School held a ‘Senior to Senior’ inter-generational dinner dance for Broome County seniors.

The spaghetti dinner started at 5 and was followed by live music, prizes, and dancing.

12 news spoke with Ethan Ta, a student at Johnson City about the event and how it felt putting on an event for others.

“When I heard about this event it was from my teacher Mrs. Carpenter at Johnson City Senior High School. I just heard about it and thought it was pretty interesting. I thought it was a great way to connect with the community. Plus, since it was my last year, I thought it would be the best way to interact with my community.”

The seniors and the citizens at the dinner spoke about how wonderful the event was, and said how they would enjoy having it every month.
