Rumble Ponies score four runs in seventh inning for 7-4 win over New Hampshire in series finale

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WBNG) - After going down in the first inning, the Binghamton Rumble Ponies rallied with four runs in the seventh, for a 7-4 win over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats in their series finale.

New Hampshire started the scoring in the first inning, with three runs off an RBI single from Orelvis Martinez and a two-run home run from Luis De Los Santos.

Then, in the bottom of the inning, Francisco Alvarez put the Rumble Ponies on the board with a solo homer, his 13th of the season to make the game 3-1. Brett Baty then tied the game up with a two-run blast in the fifth.

The Fisher Cats responded in the seventh, by retaking the lead off an RBI single by Ryan Gold.

In the bottom of the inning, Binghamton took their first lead of the game as Carlos Cortes drove in two runs with a single. The Ponies then kept the rally going with another two RBI single from Jeremy Vasquez to secure the 7-4 win.

Binghamton will be back in action on Tuesday when they begin a series in Bowie against the Baysox with first pitch scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
