FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Bit of a damp start this morning as a secondary cold front brought a few showers to the region last night. One positive about this cold front is it has flushed out all of the humidity from the Southern Tier. Yet, a surface trough trails the cold front and will reinforce the cooler, drier air ass and limits the amount of warming Saturday. On top of this, winds will be blustery.

Better weather is in the forecast for Father’s Day. Conditions remain on the cool side, but there is going to be plenty of sunshine!

The rest of the 7-Day forecast is rather tranquil as temperatures begin their warming trend back to seasonable levels on Tuesday. This is also when the chance for precipitation returns to the forecast. Models are a bit uncertain with the timing and intensity at the moment, but it doesn’t look like a washout by any means. A similar thing can be said for Wednesday.
