BOWIE, M.D. (WBNG) - Brett Baty hit a three-run home run and Brandon McIlwain added a ground-rule double to put the Binghamton Rumble Ponies ahead in the eighth inning as they won 8-5 over the Bowie Baysox.

The Ponies entered the eighth inning down 5-2, before Baty tied the game up with his three run blast. Later in the inning, Mcllwain hit a grounds-rule double to score Hayden Senger giving Binghamton a 6-5 lead.

Then in the ninth, during Ronny Mauricio’s a wild pitch scored Winaker from third. Mauricio then hit an RBI single to make it 8-5.

The Ponies started the game off with a Mauricio homer in the first to make it 1-0. But then the Baysox responded with four runs in the bottom of the inning.

The Ponies finish out their series on Sunday at 1:05 p.m. at Prince George’s Stadium in Bowie.
