BINGHAMTON (WBNG) -- On Monday, one local non-proft helped to make sure needs across the community were met.
The Broome County Urban League hosted a free pop-up shop.
Any and all members of the community had a chance to take what they need, and leave what they don’t; Including clothing, shoes, books, appliances, food and more.
Broome County Urban League CEO Jennifer Lesko said giving back is more important than ever right now.
“With everything that’s gone on - you know, locally as well as worldwide - it’s so important for the community to come together and really celebrate each other and support each other. The only way that we’re going to get beyond some of the unfairness and prejudice that happens is up coming together and working together.”
No exact date has been announced, but the next free pop-up shop will be in August.
