FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Showers and storms roll through the region this evening and start the cooling process. Temperatures will fall steadily into the 60s by Monday morning.

Showers persist into the first half of tomorrow. Most of the activity is forecast to be east of I-81 with conditions drying out after 11AM. Behind the precipitation, there is going to be a noticeably cooler air mass with temperatures returning to seasonable levels in the mid 70s.

Once the rain comes to an end the region begins a relatively dry stretch through the end of the work week. Confidence is increasing in the probability of a damp start to the Fourth of July weekend. Yet, the weekend is not going to be a washout and there should be plenty of dry time for festivities.
