Daniel Harding wins second straight TCGA Amateur Championship after a one-hole playoff
ENDWELL, N.Y. (WBNG) - For the second straight year, Daniel Harding won the Triple Cities Golf Association Amateur Championship after beating Evan Sitts in a one-hole playoff.
Harding entered the day two strokes behind Sitts, but after shooting a 73 in the final round on Sunday, he was able to force a one-hole playoff with Sitts who shot a 75.
In the playoff, which was played on hole one, Harding got a par which was good enough to give him the championship. He previously won in 2021 while Sitts was the winner in 2020.
Just a couple strokes behind the leaders, was Luke Barney and Matt Maione who tied for third as they each finished at four over. Barney, shot the best round of the tournament on Saturday with a 67, which he then followed up with a 73 on Sunday. Maione, had a 69 on Saturday before finishing out the event with a 75 in the final round.
