BINGHAMTON (WBNG) -- On Monday, Broome County Executive Jason Garnar in partnership with the Broome County Legislature and Binghamton Rumble Ponies announced free baseball tickets to veterans.

700 Rumble Ponies home game tickets will be allocated to veterans across Broome County.

Rumble Ponies Owner David Sobotka said those who have served will also be given the opportunity to gather on field for the national anthem as a special way to pay tribute.

“There is nobody more essential to our well being and nobody we owe a greater debt of gratitude to our men and women who have served in the armed forces. So, this is just a small way of giving back,” Sobotka said.

Veterans can visit Mirabito Stadium and present their ID at the ticket box to receive up to four free tickets for any of the season’s final home games.
