Rumble Ponies give up lead in the 9th and lose 5-4 to the Fisher Cats

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WBNG) - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats scored two runs in the top of the ninth inning to come from behind and the beat the Binghamton Rumble Ponies 5-4.

The Fisher Cats started off the game in front as Zach Britton hit a two-run home run in the first inning to give them the lead.

Then in the fourth, Cody Bohanek and Johneshwy Fargas both had RBI hits as the Ponies scored three runs and took a 3-2 lead.

New Hampshire then tied the game in the fifth off a solo homer from Sebastian Espino but Binghamton responded in the bottom of the inning with a run off an error to retake the lead.

In the ninth, though, the Fisher Cats tied the game up off a Phil Clarke sacrifice fly before scoring the game-winning run when Cam Eden hit an RBI single.

The two teams wrap up their series on Sunday at 1:05 p.m. at Mirabito Stadium.
