Rumble Ponies’ Brett Baty named MiLB Player of the Month for July

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WBNG) - After a phenomenal performance in he month of July, Binghamton Rumble Ponies’ third baseman Brett Baty has been named the July MiLB Player of the Month for the Eastern League.

Baty batted .365/.435/.688 and led the league in home runs (eight), RBI (27), total bases (66), slugging percentage (.688) and OPS (1.123). He finished second in hits (35), third in average (.365), fifth in on-base percentage (.435) and sixth in runs (17). Baty had 13 multi-hit games and reached safely in 21 of 23 contests.
