FORECAST DISCUSSION:
More heat and humidity today. The combination of the two is why we have a Heat Advisory going into effect for parts of the region. Similar to Friday and Saturday, daytime heating of the surface will lead to showers and storms bubbling up in the afternoon. With minimal winds aloft in the atmosphere to steer these storms, they will slowly drift as they wring out all of the rain in the cloud.
Monday is forecast to be very similar to Sunday: hot and humid with afternoon showers/storms.
Tuesday afternoon, a cold front passes through the region. Showers and storms form as a result, but more importantly, much-needed relief from the heat and humidity arrives on the backside.
