Rumble Ponies lose second straight to Altoona at home

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WBNG) - The Altoona Curve hit five home runs on their way to an 11-1 win over the Binghamton Rumble Ponies on Wednesday.

Jared Triolo hit a home run to left in the first off Ponies starter Garrison Bryant to open the scoring. Aaron Shackelford added his second homer in as many games to make it a 3-0 Curve lead through the second.

Endy Rodriguez hit his first home run at the AA level in the third and a four-run fourth put Altoona ahead 8-0. Connor Scott hit the fourth Altoona home run of the night in the fifth. Scott finished the night 4-5 with two RBI.

Wyatt Young had the lone Ponies hit of the night with a home run to right field off the batting tunnel in the fourth.

Curve starter Kyle Nicolas threw six innings giving up just a hit, a run, and a walk while striking out five in his first win of the season.
