(WBNG) -- On Sunday, community members made their way to the Greene Farmers Market for the Harvest Festival.

The event allowed residents to celebrate the end of the harvest season by enjoying a fun day of food, live music, a tractor display and more.

Local vendors were able to sell their goods and promote their businesses.

Held in the Greene Tractor Supply parking lot, their manager Heather Conklin, said the Harvest Festival is a good way to give back to the farmers.

“The cost of farming is increasing and the struggles continue to mount, so we just wanted to give an opportunity for farmers to get out there and get awareness so we can hopefully continue agriculture,” said Conklin.

Organizers of the event said it was not just about showing appreciation to farmers, but also about supporting them by giving them a time and place to sell their goods to the community.
