Rumble Ponies say fans can look forward to new scoreboard, more for 2024 season
BINGHAMTON (WBNG) -- The Binghamton Rumble Ponies announced new improvements that were made to Mirabito Stadium that fans can look forward to for the 2024 season.
Interim General Manager Richard Tylicki visited the Binghamton Rotary Club to speak about those improvements. Tylicki highlighted the new and improved scoreboard as one of the things people can enjoy when they come to games.
Tylicki noted that last year, the team had some issues with the scoreboard, including it going out. He said that was a problem that, “We can’t have when we have professional ball players here.”
He said he hoped that the new scoreboards don’t go out. He mentioned that they also have a higher pixel count, which will make for a cleaner, sharper image.
Other improvements to Rumbletown include a new outfield bar and upgrades to concessions.
The Rumble Ponies, the AA affiliate of the New York Mets, will return to Binghamton on April 16 to face off against the Reading Fightin’ Phils, the AA affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies.
