ENDICOTT, N.Y. (WBNG) - April is Childhood Sexual Abuse Awareness Month, and in honor of that, one survivor created a billboard to spread awareness.

Heather Webster shared her story through the billboard and is using her new platform to offer support to other survivors.

Webster said that because so much is lost in sexual abuse incidents, there must always be room in our minds and society for victims.

“I want people to know that there’s still space in the world for victims. So much is lost when this happens especially to a child, so much is lost to that child, to the family,” said Webster.

The billboard can be seen on Watson Boulevard in Endicott through the end of May.
