Woman, 21, accused of driving drunk, filming video of passenger before crash

CARTER COUNTY, Okla. (KXII/Gray News) - An Oklahoma woman allegedly crashed her car while driving drunk because she was trying to film a video while behind the wheel, according to court records.

Tenlee Sands, 21, is charged with aggravated driving while impaired, inattentive driving and unsafe lane use. The charges stem from an early morning crash on Interstate 35 in Carter County.

According to court records, a trooper said Sands admitted she was filming a video of her passenger when she lost control of her car, ran off the road and hit a cable barrier. Both Sands and her passenger were injured.

Troopers stated Sands’ blood alcohol content was 0.11.

Her bond was set at $250,000.
