Alex Ladstatter

Originally from Central New York, Alex has spent a majority of his life enjoying what the area has to offer.

He began his career in the television and radio industry at the age of 16 working for WCNY Studios in Syracuse. In high school, Alex enjoyed a fast-paced environment with News Channel 9 (WSYR) as an intern for the daytime lifestyle show 'Bridge Street'.

Alex attended SUNY Plattsburgh where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism and Television Production in just three years. During his time in the North Country, he spent his weekends, and some of his free time as a Multimedia Journalist for Local 22 and Local 44 News (WVNY/WFFF) in Burlington, VT.

He became the first News Director of SUNY Plattsburgh's student-run television station as well as held the position of the president of various extracurricular organizations and clubs on campus. He is a member of the Lambda Pi Eta Delta Xi Communications Honor Society, as well as the Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Honor Society.

Now working for WBNG, Alex has taken on several roles with the station including Multimedia Journalist, Host of 'Here in History', producer, as well as former Weekend Anchor.

He serves as the liaison to Gray Television's Washington DC Bureau and has taken on many duties of the Senior Reporter

In his free time, Alex loves to run, hike and explore new places. He is always looking for new local places to eat and businesses to support!
