Brian Schroeder is the meteorologist for 12 News This Morning and 12 News at Noon. This is Brian’s second stop in the Twin Tiers. He spent four years in Elmira at WENY.
Brian is originally from Minnesota and enjoyed watching thunderstorms develop and move across the flat farmland of the Midwest. Coming from a farming community, Brian knows the important role weather plays in the economy and in people’s lives.
Brian graduated from the University of North Dakota with a degree in Atmospheric Science. His career has allowed him to live and work in such places as Amarillo, TX, Altoona, PA, and after four yeas as a banker in Troy, NY, Lima, OH.
Brian has always enjoyed the weather and the challenge that forecasting brings. He is very happy to be back in the meteorology business and in the Twin Tiers.
He is the proud father of two young boys, Patrick and Collin.
