Scott Sasina is the co-anchor of 12 News with Kaitlin Pearson, providing viewers with the news they need each and every night.
Scott has been part of the 12 News for several years now, starting off as a videographer and news reporter in May of 2014. In late 2015, Scott joined the 12 Sports team for a short time, helping with reporting and filming highlights. In April of 2016, he accepted the morning news anchor position and has been there ever since.
Born and raised in the Southern Tier, the area holds a special place in his heart. Scott grew up in Endicott and graduated from Union-Endicott High School in 2010. He took part in several school activities like track & field, football, and even musical theater.
Scott continued his education, receiving an Associate’s Degree in Communications and Media Arts from SUNY Broome and then a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism from SUNY Oswego.
He played a key role in two award-winning newscasts, helping 12 News This Morning bring home “Outstanding Morning Newscast” from the New York State Broadcasters Association in both 2018 and 2019
