“She was an artist, she was a suffragist, and she was a political activist. She had a big impact on this whole area for the first 50 years of the 20th century,” said Broome County Historian Roger Luther.
“No one, I think, sets out to be the first,” said NYS Senator Lea Webb. “I’m definitely a person that that was not my plan, but I most certainly do not plan to be the last.”
